Human Rights and Peace Foundation (HURPEF) was duly established in the Chairmanship of Late. Mr. Krishna Prasad Shiwakoti, a veteran human rights activist who contributed to eliminate life punishments in Nepal, senior human rights activist and Founder General secretary Mr. Man Bahadur Thapa and other respected personalities of different sector of Nepal with the objective of peace, democracy & protection and promotion of human right as non-profit making social organization on (21/09/2000.AD) 2059 B.S. HURPEF is unbiased and independent human rights organization.

The main duties of this organization is to raise the voice and to act as watchdog to those whoever violate the treaties, conventions and protocol, declared by the United Nations and endorsed by the respective countries. It also pleads for the appropriate independent investigation of human right violation and adequate punishment to the accused. This organization is dedicated to transform into practice entire civil, political, economical, educational, religious and cultural rights of the citizen endorsed by Nepal.
